Thanks for the heads up.
McSweeney sounds like he is one nasty MF on paper. It will kinda be hard to argue with Nelson who is a former IFL Heavyweight champ. Kimbo is way out of his league though.
I am waiting for Bobby Lashley to come over to the UFC. UFC 100 is tomorrow:banana

I look forward to the Lesnar VS. Mir 2. Let see how much Brock has learned since they last met.
GSP is actually facing someone who looks bigger than him so this should be interesting. (GSP normally looks like the biggest in there at WW. But Thiago looks much bigger.) Thiago needs to tie this up in the clinch to win. Or do a flying knee like he hit on Hughes to stand a chance. GSP is just too dangerous at a distance.
I think the fight I am looking forward to the most is Bisping VS. Henderson. I've liked Bisping since TUF 3 and followed Henderson since he was in Pride. Whoever wins will get a title shot at the Spider.
Speaking of Silvia he will be adding a few pounds to fight Light-Heavyweight at UFC 101 against Forrest Griffen:bunny
Hell even the Undercard looks awesome for UFC 100.
Stephan Bonnar VS. Mark Coleman
Jon Jones VS. Jake O'Brian
Jon Fitch VS Paulo Thiago
This event is going to be awesome!!!!:thumbsup

Shouldn't that be, he won't be cutting as much weight as he normally does.

This is true.... damn thats going to be a great fight! and tonight is going to be ridiculous on all levels. Im hoping the fighters dont play it safe and we get a good show that is comparable to all the hype !!!! and Dana White is a freakin genious at marketing. Bringing Kimbo Slice into the next season along with fighters the slice fans will be able to follow after the show ends. AND being able to market it to the UFC 100 crowd. s-m-a-r-t

That was the knock out of the night. Bisping folded. His strategy was flawed from the beginning. How are you going to circle to his strong side. That will stand as one of the nastiest KOs I have seen. I didn't Bisping was gonna get up.
I am a little disappointed by the Lesner/ Mir fight. I thought Brock would stand up with Mir and well he decided to take it to the ground after Mir tagged him a few times. Mir's face got messed up.
GSP just proved me right... Keeping his distance the first two rounds and then taking to the ground for the last three. Could he move up to 185 to take on the Spider. He needs to..... There is nobody left that will give him a challenge at 170.

I think Brock had a game plan and worked it perfectly. I just hated his antics after the fight was over. this isn't Pro Wrestling anymore. Alienating your fans is a bad move.
TOTALLY agree about Bisping. Henderson actually got airborn for that second shot and likely broke his jaw while he was lights out. That's the kind of K.O. that changes young fighters careers. I hope the count can recover.
GSP was put the pittbull on his butt at will. That was the fight. Wore him out and did some damage late. That he did it with a torn muscle ( 3rd round groin injury by all accounts ) speaks volumes about his resolve. I don't think The Pittbull has anything to be embarrassed about. GSP is just on another level. I wish he could have continued with the leg kicks. GSP clearly didn't like that.
There should be an investigation into "sexys" fight. That was complete crap. Calls like that will quickly escalate into "fixed fight" cries. The boxing world is praying something like that happens. UFC better be very quick in getting that resolved.

I thought it would have been a draw. I deducted points from the other guy for that retarded super man punch off the cage. I think no one should have won that fight.

The only effect that strike had was that opponent almost fell down life when the guy hit him with it.

See, this is what I'm talking about with Silva.
Look at how big he is.
Forrest is one of the larger LHW fighters at 6"3".
Silva has no business fighting at 185; he should be at 205 full-time.
Of course he has an advantage over true middle-weights when he's as big as he is.
The guy is 6"1" and walks around at 220.
He has to cut 35 pounds to make weight at 185, and by the time the fight happens he's back up to well over 200.
I hope Forrest KO's his ass...

The UFC has to make him stay at LHW; there's no way it'll ever be a fair fight for anyone at 185.

No doubt he won, but Griffin better be hurt after that poor showing. It looked like he took a dive on that last punch. I know this.... Silva won't stand there and tell Dan Henderson to hit him like he did Forrest... Or GSP for that matter. Henderson should be his next fight and that is good because he is the only one who has given him a good fight. I would like to see GSP gain the 15lbs and fight him as well.

I'm not sold on Hendo being a threat (although he probably has the best chance at 185) and I simply don't believe GSP could handle Anderson's size. Silva is listed as 6'2" by Sherdog and walks around at 220 when he isn't making weight; last night he fought one of the larger LHW fighters and toyed with him. GSP is a great fighter, but there's only so much size a guy can overcome. Throw in Silva's talent and I just don't see it being that much of a challenge.
By the way, the reason Griffin acted the way he did was because Silva dislocated his jaw (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/boxingandmma/5998996/Forrest-Griffin-camp-reveal-dislocated-jaw-as-Anderson-Silva-contemplates-Lyoto-Machida.html).
Silva needs to fight Machida. Dana wants to make it happen, but so far, Silva has said he won't do it. Instead, he keeps talking about wanting to fight Roy Jones Jr. If he wants to be a boxer, than he needs to go be a boxer. If he isn't willing to fight the best in MMA, then he needs to do something else.
I have a feeling something is going to give here; Dana has said repeatedly that he will make fights regardless of friendships.
Here's a quote from last night:
The UFC middleweight champion didn’t need his interpreter to tell him that his knockout win Saturday over Forrest Griffin would only crank up the calls for a dream match up against Lyoto Machida. So as soon as Silva heard “Machida” -- the name of a friend, occasional training partner and UFC 205-pound titleholder -- at the UFC 101 postfight news conference, he began dismissing the possibility of ever fighting him.
Then UFC President Dana White intervened.
“These two are friends,” White said, quick to remark on the matter before Silva. “It has nothing to do with friendship. It’s about who’s the best. It’s about competing against somebody else, no different than a basketball game or a football game. If Anderson gets to that point where he starts taking out 205-pounders, I’ll make that fight. I promise you, I’ll make that fight.”
White turned to Silva and Ed Soares, the Brazilian’s manager and interpreter.
“Go ahead,” he told them, half-jokingly. “What’d you want to say?”
Everyone laughed. Everyone waited.
Silva answered in Portuguese, which Soares translated: “Lyoto’s my friend. He’s my brother, and there’s no way that fight will happen.”

Yea we will see about that. Thanks for the link, I was wondering why he looked so off. But I have to disagree, I think a second fight with Hendo would be a really good match. Hendo is the only opponent to make him step up his game. And like I said, he won't stand there and taunt Hendo. I think GSP stands a good chance, despite the weight difference, because, IMO, he has the best ground game in the UFC.

I hope you're right about Dan; I'd really like to see him regain the MW belt.
What do you think about Griffin's future now?
He beat Rampage for the LHW title, but then lost it to Evans who lost it to Machida.
He got beaten badly last night, and has been prone to getting KO'd lately.
Silva had absolutely no respect for Griffin's striking ability.
I think Griffin's career has peaked and he'll be a middle-of-the-pack fighter from here on out.

Yea I agree with you. I think his time of main eventing is over with. His 15 minutes lasted a longer than Stephan Bonner's time. His chin is not as strong as used to be and I did not see that famed heart that he is known for in that fight. Oh but he did beat a Quinton Jackson that even admitted that he was not in the optimal fighting shape during that fight. And we all could see that. THat was not the same Jackson destroyed Wanderla Silva and Keith Jardine.
Machida has yet to defend his title, so the logical solution here is make Machida and Anderson Silva Fight sometime around Nov. And the winner between the Ultimate fighter coaches fights the winner of that match for the LHW title.

Wes got screwed, he controlled the fight had McSweeney running for his life most of the fight and had all the takedowns. McSweeney threw a couple of leg kicks and that was it. The judges actually screwed Wes with this one. I wish he get another chance. Both opponents were extremely gassed throughout, Wes more so than James. Wait a couple of days and you can see the fight for yourself on Spike.
Kimbo Slice will fight Roy "Big Country" Nelson on the next episode.

Nelson beat Kimbo, but by nothing spectacular. He held him on the ground and started tapping him on the head. Not punching.....Tapping... Seriously like my nephew, who is 4 years old and weighs less than 60lb, hits harder than Nelson was hitting Kimbo. It was some BS, but the Ref ended the fight because Kimbo was not defending himself from the "hits". Kimbo was mainly concerned with the 264lb fat ass Nelson off of him. Fortunately, Dana was not impressed with Nelson's performance and was pretty vocal about it. (Hint to Nelson: Dana does not like it when fighters come out there and give a half ass performance. Come in there with a plan to fight and not to with a plan to take advantage of the intelligent defending rule.) Dana was, however, impressed with Kimbo and so was I. I did not have that great of an opinion of him before the show started, but he seems like a good guy and he is a hell of a fighter. He was tagging Nelson up before they went to the ground and looked to still have energy at the end even the ref called it..... Stupid rule.
I think Kimbo will get another shot, because it seems one of Rampage's team gets hurt during training. And we all want to see what Kimbo can do to someone who isn't a fat sissy.

Kimbo is too old to become an effective MMA fighter.
He's 35, and his ground skills are minimal at best.
There's no way he will be able to compete in the UFC HW division. There are too many big wrestlers in that division like Brock who would simply take Kimbo down and pound him into dust.
After seeing him get KO'd by Petruzelli, I'm not that sure he could hang with fighters who wouldn't try to take him down.
Kimbo is all hype, nothing more, nothing less.

Well you are entitled to your opinion. Kimbo has impressed Dana, Rampage, Rashad and the coaching staff, as well as his colleagues on TUF. They all thought he was all hype too. Until they started interacting with him and training him. That 35 year old man makes the rest of the contestants look lazy. You also don't need a ground game to be successful in the UFC. (Look at Chuck Liddel) Just good take down defense. Which they are training Kimbo in. Oh and as far as the fight with Petruzelli. 1. That was a year ago. 2. This is a sport where lucky punches win fights. The guys that matter are the ones that land the most lucky punches. There is no questioning Kimbo's punch power. Nelson did want anymore of it and he only got tagged a couple of times.

Chuck Liddell was a wrestler in college. He has a very solid ground game (he just doesn't need to use it) and superb take-down defense, none of which Kimbo has. Randy Couture even admitted Chuck was nearly impossible to keep down; bad comparison there.
Kimbo has zero ground game, and zero takedown defense for that matter. Any wrestler or BJJ specialist will beat him easily. He's like a fish out of water on the ground.
He has no chance in the HW division. Brock Lesnar would kill Kimbo, as would most of the other HW fighters. Fedor would absolutely destroy him. His age is also a factor. You don't pick up the necessary skills to be a well rounded MMA fighter over night; it takes years and years of training and learning.
Kimbo's only chance would be to somehow drop down to 205 and fight hand-picked strikers. Otherwise, he'll get exposed and what you saw last night will be the end result for every fight he takes, except he'll probably be in a much worse shape afterwards.
Kimbo is a backyard, interenet hype machine, and Dana is just trying to cash in on what marketability he has left. That's why Dana is saying all of that ****. He's trying to market Kimbo. He knows Kimbo has no chance against guys like Lesnar, Carwin, Velasquez, Kongo etc...
If he ever beats a true contender, (and by that I don't mean some washed up ex NFLer that decides he wants to be a MMA fighter, or some guy he runs into in an alley somewhere) come talk to me, but I know that's never going to happen, despite what Dana and Rampage and the coaches say who are trying to market him and TUF.

Oh and Dana always goes with the ridiculous fight promotions just to sell his company.... Oh wait a minute, no he doesn't. He brings in fights that are entertaining and competitive. It doesn't matter if you win everyone of your fights, if it is not entertaining then you won't be in Dana's company.
