I wonder how fast they sold out? Seems like in the past the record was 12 minutes. Anyone here succeed today and what game? I am so ready for a tailgate

They actually haven't sold out yet....even for good games right now (I searched SD on Christmas) you can get two seats together

It is actually pretty rare for the Titans to defenitively sell out of game (besides the Colts game) on the first day. I consider a sellout to be when Ticketmaster tells me there are no tickets available.
When the media announces a "sell out", that usually just means no more pairs are available. That is a pretty weak definition, if you ask me.

I'm with you... our definition and theirs are two different things. I knew the Colts would go fast and I shouldn't be surprised SD isn't sold out. Guess I'm more disappointed than anything. I really want to rant about our so called diehard fans but would sound like Scrooge :D

I would imagine the MNF game in Houston will sell out almost immediately.

I was sooooo mad at the ticketmaster website earlier.
I was getting 4 tickets for the home opener (we're going with 2 friends for their first nfl game) and we had some really good seats , around the 30 yard line upper deck. As I was waiting for the conformation page to load ticketmaster.com freaks out and we lost the tickets. After scanning again we had to settle for 4 on the extreme corner of the upper deck. :banghead

Got a ticket for the Sunday nighter vs. the Colts. My first trip to Nashville; it will be a nice change of pace to sit with friendlies.

logged in right at 10am. Got 3 for the Bills and 2 for the Dolphins. I had the same problem with Ticketmaster freezing up at the confirmation page but I hit refresh a couple of times and did not lose the tickets. I also logged back in at 2:30pm just to see if there were any tickets left and I got 2 seats together for the Rams sect 315 row M. Every year I check back after a couple of hours because they usually release tickets because of declined credit cards and such.

According to NewsChannel5 at 5pm. it took three hours to sell out this year instead of the usual twenty to thirty minutes...must be the economy.

I wish the Tennessean had the balls to report the truth about sellouts. There are still tickets available to all the games but the Colts game, and there are still pairs available to quite a few games.

I am going through the tickets available this morning. I can still find pairs to both preseason games, the Rams game, the Dolphins game, and the Chargers game.
I can't recall it ever having pairs this late. :ohmy

I just checked as well, tickets are still available for all but the Colts game.
Here are the quantities together that I found available for each game:
Pre-Tampa 4
Pre-GB 4
Texans 1
Colts 0
Jags 1
Bills 1
Cardinals 2
Rams 4
Dolphins 4
Chargers 4
I still wonder how they can claim "sold out"???

I hadn't even tried for greater for 2 tickets together. I am really surprised that you can still get 4. :ohmy
I also didn't realize the Ticketmaster fee. $5.75 per ticket?!? :faint
Titans fans may be finally realizing that they can buy tickets for good seats at close to list price right before a game than upper deck seats with a lot of fees this early.

We ended up paying over $50 in fees alone :destroy
I've thought about trying to buy tickets game day but it's a long 3 hour drive just to *hope* we can get in.

We also spent over $50 in just the ticketmaster fees. It's crazy but the tradeoff is that we have tickets to all 4 games that we wanted to go to this season. The other 3 games we will be out of town and unable to attend anyway. Then there's the Colts game. I may end up getting a ticket for that game but my wife works east coast time so she won't want to be out that late on a Sunday night.
I also think the economy is keeping a lot of people away at this point. I keep hearing talk about the economy turning around but this seems to tell me we have a long way to go.

I am glad you all are finding tickets still but don't knock the Titans for claiming a sell out when there are still pockets of tickets available. Only 3,000 or so tickets are made available to the public for single game purchase. Even if none of these sold, that is a excellent record to only have 3,000 tickets available out of 69,000+ seats. We all know they also hold back tickets for the opponents and even to sell to Titan players for family, etc. In fact, some of the tickets available on Ticketmaster may have been purchased by Ticketmaster who is now attempting to resale. Not sure, just thinking. Another thing I think is that after ten seasons, the Titan fans have become more knowledgeable as to other avenues to purchase Tickets other than buying on the first day of single game ticket sales. With the on line ticket exchange there are many options for purchasing tickets from season ticket holders. In fact, I am considering selling one of my two tickets to some of the games. With my tickets costing $83 a seat I am just not as willing to just invite casual acquaintances to go with me as my guest. Sorry for the rambling, but just thought I would throw in my opinion that a game does not have to be completely sold out to be declared a "sell out".
