I have a good feeling about our D-Line this year! I think the Titans will get a deal worked out for KVB this season, Hopefully we can get all of our key player's new deals "KVB,Tully,Bulluck,Scaife,Thornton???,
"How the Titans' defensive line fares without DT Albert Haynesworth will be one of the major topics of speculation in Tennessee until the regular season starts, but in the interim, it is clear the Titans will benefit from the return of DE Kyle Vanden Bosch,"

Nothing against Scaife but my opinion is the team can go on without him. I don't think that he is a big key for the team for winning.

A lot of that depends on how well Cook looks this season. If he's everything he seems to be or shows promise of developing into that, they'll probably make Bo an offer that will send him looking elsewhere. It'll be one of those "we tried" without really trying deals.
If Cook struggles, then Scaife is very important to this offense. Even if Cook does develop according to plan, the team still benefits from Scaife being around. The Tight End is huge in the Titans offense and a two receiver set on the outside with Scaife and Cook on the field with Cook in the slot could be a nightmare for opposing teams. Letting go of a TE of Scaife's caliber would be a mistake.

without Scaife, we don't win at least 3 games last season. i know i was pretty hard on him before 2008, but last year he showed up.
Scaife has improved every season. Jury is still out in my opinion. If Scaife plays well again, the FO will have a hard decision to make. Really good playmaking TEs are hard to come by. 4-6 mil a year ain't much for a leading reciever when compared to high dollar #1 WRs (10 mil).
Hopefully we can keep KVB. Even though he is over 30, I think he has proven he is worth the risk. They don't make football players like him anymore.

i think we could still use scaife. even if Cook is a beast, i think scaife is a better TE than Crumpler & we do use alot of two TE sets.

I think we re-sign Vanden Bosch and LenDale, tag Bulluck, and lose Scaife..

Tagging KB puts him in the top 5 money for LBs, do you think the front office will pay that?
They might offer something but I dont think it will be quite that high. Even KB thinks he'll be playing someplace else next yr

How KB plays this year will determine alot.... Could be a catch-22.
