What combination of 2 teams from any era would be your most orgasmic championship game? from the 2005-2006 Trojans or the Miami Hurricanes of the early 2000s, what would you dream game be?

1997 Michigan vs. 1997 Nebraska
If this game were to be played between the two co-champions of that year, we might still be talking about highlights. 58 future NFL players would be in that game. Notable players on each team include...
MICHIGAN:
-Charles Woodson
-Tom Brady
-Brian Griese
-Ian Gold
-Anthony Thomas
-Jay Feely
-Dhani Jones
-James Hall
-Steve Hutchinson
-Sam Sword
-Jon Jansen
-Tai Streets
-Jeff Backus
NEBRASKA:
-Kyle Vanden Bosch
-Jason Peter
-Mike Rucker
-Eric Crouch
-Ahman Green
-Mike Brown
-Aaron Taylor
-Grant Wistrom
-Scott Frost
-Ralph Brown
-Dominic Raiola
Each team came in with perfect records, Michigan had Charles Woodson, who just became the first defensive player to ever win the Heisman (suck it Peyton). Nebraska had the almighty Ahman Green at RB and a terrifying D. Michigan had an insane offensive line and a good group of power RB's to go long with a very efficient QB in Griese and a solid backup in Brady. Michigan also boasted a great special teams unit that was anchored by the accurate Jay Feeley and a homerun threat in Woodson.
Both teams would have made for a great game...each with very efficient offenses and insane defenses that set these two teams apart from any others in the land. Honestly, I would almost have to call it a tie but I would say Michigan wins by a field goal. This game woulda been Jeff Fisher and Bill Cowher's wet dream with the way these teams played.

2001 Hurricanes vs. 2005 Trojans
epic...IMO could be better than the Texas-USC game

Call me biased., but I'm thoroughly convinced the 05 Texas team could beat any team from this decade. The loaded Canes team had more NFL talent (something like their entire 2-deep roster made the NFL?) but I think the Horns had the better "team", and the best CFB player this decade (YES, BETTER THAN TEBOW).

2005 USC Texas
that game was epic...probably the best two programs over a 2-3 year span
matt lienart, reggie bush, lendale, and that offensive line from hell
and texas had vince young, for a couple of years cedric benson, and that nasty secondary (michael griffin, michael huff, aaron ross)

But Miami of 2001 would have to be able to beat them, they were a much deeper team and on paper much more talented. And Texas maybe had a better team concept, but that wouldnt matter as Miami would shutdown every posiiton on Texas most likely:
Offense
QB Ken Dorsey
FB Najeh Davenport
HB Clinton Portis
TE Jeremy Shockey
WR Andre Johnson
WR Kevin Beard
LT Bryant McKinnie
LG Sherko Haji-Rasouli
C Brett Romberg
RG Martin Bibla
RT Joaquin Gonzalez
Defense
RE Jerome McDougle
DT Matt Walters
DT William Joseph
LE Andrew Williams
OLB D.J. Williams
MLB Jonathan Vilma
OLB Chris Campbell
RCB Mike Rumph
FS Maurice Sikes
SS Ed Reed
LCB Phillip Buchanon
Special Teams
K Todd Sievers
P Freddie Capshaw
KR Andre Johnson
KR Frank Gore
PR Phillip Buchanon
Key Reserves: Kellen Winslow, Sean Taylor, Antrel Rolle, Willis McGahee, Vernon Carey, Eric Winston
-----------------
The speed and ability of that team would have neutralized VY's weapons in Sweed, Selvin Young, Hall, etc. and the speed and toughness of the linebackers and safeties would have severely limited his mobility.
On offense for Miami, Texas would give them a tough game, but Miami was just so deep and talented that it would have been hard for them to not score with Portis, McGahee, Johnson, Shockey, and others waiting in the wings.
If they were to play, I believe Miami would win by more than a TD at least. That Miami team was was the most talented team in CFB history.

After giving this much thought, I have decided on the 08 Vols and the 08 Wolverines.

Really? You think that? The longhorns beat what was supposed to be one of the best teams ever assembled in USC. And they came back and beat them.
Miami had some tough games against BC and Va Tech, who IMO, didn't have anywhere near the talent that the Longhorns had.

I think the Hurricanes would run around the longhorns. And that Canes team was the only one picked to take out the Trojans when ESPN aired the segments of "2005 USC v. The best teams in CFB History". Personally, looking back at my statement about the Canes winning a close one against the longhorns...I think they would win by even more than 10 points

Like I said, considering they had tough games against BC and Va Tech, no way they would beat the Horns.
The canes might have been the only team "picked" to beat USC, but the Horns were the only ones that actually beat them.
No way the canes win that game.

1995 Nebraska VS 2001 Miami.
Different decades, but only a few years apart.

I have to agree. That Miami team was just far too talented for the Texas team in question. It would be at least a TD if not more. That Miami team was much more talented than the USC team Texas beat.

1997 Michigan vs. 1997 Nebraska
I have to agree with you on the choice of game, getting back to the original question. This is one game I wanted to see so badly but never happened. Too bad the BCS didn't start a year earlier. My personal belief is that Nebraska would have beaten the holy living hell out of Michigan. I don't believe Michigan even belonged in the same breath as that Nebraska team.
