If you listen to it right now, you hears sounds of construction and a message, "You are hearing the construction of a new radio station. Scheduled completion: tomorrow at 1 PM".
I know they got rid of all locally produced content at the beginning of the year, but I would have to think that the station is switching from ESPN radio to music.
The web site is still up for that station, and nothing is out of the ordinary. But stations typically don't shut off all programming unless they are changing formats.
If true, it will be a sad day for Nashville sports fans. More sports talk is better than less, even if it wasn't local. I enjoy 104.5 fine, but I like to have a choice.

WNFN/Nashville Stunting Ahead Of Format Flip
NASHVILLE -- July 29, 2009: Cumulus Sports outlet WNFN (106.7 the Fan) in Nashville is on its way to a format flip tomorrow afternoon. The station is currently stunting with construction sounds and an announcement that "construction" is due to be completed Thursday at 1:06 p.m.
The Fan flipped from Rhythmic WPNL at the end of 2004 and has been competing for Nashville sports fans against Citadel's WGFX (104.5 the Zone) and Southern Wabash Communications' WNSR (SportsRadio 560).

For now. 560 AM used to carry ESPN radio till 106.7 took it from them (I still never knew what happened there), so maybe they will try to get it back.

Never really cared for 106.7 anyways. Hardly comes in clear at all in Clarksville. 104.5 is MUCH better.
