KC wont play much in the preseason.

Our younger players, our rookies, haven't had pads on. … This is going to be an early quick evaluation time for them," Fisher said. "At the same time, we're going to get ready to play this game. We're going to take this game serious and I couldn't think of a better way to start camp than to get ready for a preseason game.''

That doesn't mean starters will see much work in preseason games. Starting quarterback Kerry Collins won't play much, Fisher said, leaving extra snaps for Vince Young, who is trying to rebound from a difficult 2008 season.

"I want him to have fun again and make plays,'' Fisher said. "To do that, you have to know what to do and how to do it. It's really pretty simple. I want him to have fun again and I'm confident he will do that.''

This should be expected. We know what we're getting from KC. He doesn't need the extra reps.

VY needs them bad. He needs to show us something or he's most likely on his way out. Ramsey can also use the opportunity to try and pass VY on the depth chart. I can't wait to see what happens.

Not sure about that. We have 3 new receiving targets this year I for one would like to see Collins get as much playtime with them as possible.

VY could have a perfect passer rating all preseason... there will still be those that say "Meh.. it's only preseason".

Preseason, Practice, Scrimmage... I'll take any signs of progression I can get.

I like the idea. I would like to see Vince take it serious and not treat it as just a preseason game. Vince needs to take advantage of every opportunity that he gets.

I am with Fish on wanting VY to have fun out there again...we should be able to tell if that is the case in practice and preseason games...it is not just a certain level of play (which I hope obviously he achieves) but fans of VY can't deny that it is the attitude...having fun out there, keeping loose and cutting jokes that also contributes to the level we saw in college ball and in a couple of games his NFL rookie year. He has fun out there...and he is putting in the work...he will do just fine.

Fun schmun. I just want him to succeed. Most of the time fun produces success, but if he plays like a robot and rips it up, I'm fine with it.
