Default Snedeker tearing up the British Open

Nashville's own Brandt Snedeker had a terrific round yesterday to be alone in 5th place (and only two strokes back) with a 4-under round (4 birdies, 0 bogeys).

Today, he is on fire. He is 6 under after 12 holes (10 under overall) and he is on pace to break the 36-hole British Open record of 130. If he just pars out the rest of the way, he will be at 131.

I want him to win a major so bad.

Snedeker tied the Open record with his 10 under showing (130). He had never made the cut at the British Open before, so this is a heck of a way to do it for the first time!.

64 for his second round with a 5 shot lead and no bogies! A lot of golf to go, I'm proud of him!
    Make it a great day!

It was a rough two days for Snedeker, but he did manage to finish in a tie for third place with Tiger. He had a lot of pressure on his last putt just to make bogey and stay in 3rd, but he made it. Each putt at that stage is worth about $100,000, so it is big.

I do feel really bad for Adam Scott. He looked great the whole tournament, but he bogeys the last four holes to lose to Ernie Els by one. Els was one of the rare players today to play well (under par), and the field just fell all around him. Congrats to Els, but Scott is going to have to live with this collapse for a long time.

Snedeker is playing decent today in the BMW.

309 - funny truths about yours truly. I'm friends and graduated with Brandts brother Haymes. I could tell you some stories. I was also real close friends and dorm-mates with Ben Crane...we used to go fly fishing a lot...matter of fact he stole one of my reels when he moved back to oregon (by mistake). I like pulling for those guys when they play. Crane has an awesome set of videos about himsef: his slow play and such. this is the video that started it all though...
