    Default Blount

Wow! Did he have a career day against the Colts!

    24 carries, 166 yards, and 4 TDs.

The decision to put him on the practice squad still is one of the big mistakes this franchise made.

It was a bad decision then, it's still a bad decision now. He doesn't even look portly anymore, he just looks lean and mean. Yep, that was as bad a decision as Fish ever made.

Why are you guys assuming we would've made use of him? Or that he would've got his act together as a Titan?

He had a 1000 yard, 6 TD season for the Bucs that year, and that was without playing in any preseason games with them. I think once we saw what Blount could do in a game, he would have replaced Ringer as the #2 back.

To be fair, the Bucs cut him in the offseason after a pretty bad 2012 season. Blount had more yards and TDs in this one playoff game than he did all year for the Bucs.

And he was also jawwing and trying to start a fight with the Colts D, even after 4 tds.

The problem has never been his playing ability. It's his attitude. The guy is one punch away from being non relevant.

After reading this thread I had to use the search option and look up conversations about Blount on this board. I thought my memory served me fairly well in remembering a lot of people on this board being down on Blount in the past. Some tried to diminish him and the decision to put him on the practice squad. I do think it was fair to question whether or not we would have had the good sense to let him play or whether we'd have let him do anything but tackle on special teams but I'm surprised to see all this love for a guy who some were trashing not long ago.

I don't recall anyone trashing Blount. I am sure I made an argument back in 2010 that he wouldn't have received much playing time and he wasn't someone that play special teams. However, hindsight is 20/20, and Ringer is out of the NFL while Blount is making playoff history for the Patriots. Plus CJ's yards really started going downhill that 2010 season and now he is just a 1000 yard guy.

CJ has fallen off to levels that equate to Blount's best year. He wouldn't have been a difference maker for us and his attitude would have pissed us all off many times over.
Something, something and a little more something.

Well... The lack of attitude on this team is doing a pretty good job at pissin me off and I'm not talking about that dribble CJ spouts off from time to time. What ever was Blounts circumstances he has to be considered someone we missed on
