Default Texans @ Titans gameday thread

Today's game will hopefully be a revenge game for the Titans. The Texans gave us the worst loss of the season, so it is time for payback.

Kickoff is at noon on CBS, with Greg Gumbel and Trent Green as the announcers. Heather Melton, the widow of longtime Titans fan Sonny Melton, who was killed in the Vegas shooting, will be the 12th Titan. Mandisa (gospel and contemporary Christian artist who started on American Idol) will perform the National Anthem.

Titans fans will receive rally towels, and the halftime show will be the junior cheerleaders and junior T-Racs.

The weather will be awesome today. The tailgate will be a little chilly in the upper 40s and lower 50s, but the game should be in the 60s, with 0% chance of rain and wind under 5mph.

My only worry today is empty seats. I doubt many Houston fans show up, and I am not seeing enough advertising by the Titans. Despite the facts that the Titans are 8-1 in their last 9 home games, they are in first place with their best record since 2008, and the weather will be perfect, the walk-up ticket buyers just haven't shown up.

If the Titans are going to have another blowout win this season, this would be the game. The Titans are due to have everything clicking at once, they will be motivated for that embarrassing loss, and the Texans are on short rest.

Considering last week’s game results when I predicted a blowout win vs the Colts, I am going to go out on a limb here and predict something close, as to ensure a blowout win.

    Titans - 5
    Texans - 4

A nail-biter featuring 2 safeties and a field goal. The most unique score in NFL history.

Succop has turned into trash lately.

    3-0 Texans.

How is that not a fumble? Looks like he caught it, turned, made a football move, then had the ball knocked out. I don't get it anymore.

    That was a fumble.

But Mularkey's guys at the boxes aren't fast enough to make him drop the red flag.

And the amount of penalties at this game is becoming somewhat annoying.

Mariota's throws had been much more eloquent so far.

While the score is pretty sad, I do like that they are moving the ball.

One of the coaches need to offer their players candy if they stop commiting penalties...that's enough.

Here is where Tennessee's passing offense shows some limitations?

There are screen passes, crossed-rutes passes, attraction passes..but the offensive scheme seems limited creativity-wise.

I swear I don't like OC's lack of offensive preparation.

Jackson lost his coverage on the 53 yd. pass completion.

10-0...to a team with a backup QB and no offensive talent outside of Hopkins.

Receiver's hands were always under the ball. This has to be a Houston's TD.

This offense is such trash for the talent it has. All of the offensive staff must go.

Fans at Denver had to be very depressed. (And they have a huge QB issue)

    Miami - 16
    Denver - 3

This is the worst 7-4 team I've ever seen. And if we win this game, we'll be the worst 8-4 team I've seen.

What's with those horrible snaps from our center earlier?

We've been outscored 30-0 by the Texans over the last three quarters.

The Texans could probably beat us with a 26-man roster.
