Titans almost have to play the perfect game to win, but I think it can be done. Just keep giving the ball to Henry.

I know we played Jacksonville already in an AFC championship back in the day, but with Goodell at the helm of the NFL now, I just hope for good officiating. If this and the Jax-Pitt game is close, I could see some weird stuff happening. It would be the NFLs nightmare to have two teams with 0 national interest in the AFC title game and one of them in the Super Bowl. The Patriots/Steelers would be their dream matchup.

I thought this was the game thread. My bad.

Titans/Jaguars is what the NFL fanbase really wants though. They hate both the Steelers and Patriots so much and desperately want new blood. That's also why the NFC playoffs are so fascinating, since three of the four haven't won a Super Bowl yet.
Go Titans! Go Braves! Go Preds! Go Dores!

It may be what people say they want, but I think we all know which matchup in the AFC championship would draw the most ratings by far, and actually proving what people really want. People may want new blood, but they will take an exciting game with offense, a rivalry, history, and household names, and teams with large fanbases over Titans-Jaguars.

Although not quite apples to apples, in the NBA, people like marquee matchups just as much (although it is more star driven). There is a reason why the Cavs-Spurs finals in 2007 was the lowest rated finals ever (6.2/11, 9.29M Viewers), but 1 year later the finals between the Lakers-Celtics saw a 50% jump in ratings (9.3/17, 14.94M Viewers). Once again, star players, huge fanbases, history, and rivalry.

The average NFL fan couldn't name more than 3 guys on either team on the Titans/Jaguars...but say Steelers/Patriots and you'll hear Big Ben, Leveon Bell, Antonio Brown, Tom Brady, Brandin Cooks, Gronk and more. People will know their coaches and more. The NFL wants those names and teams in the spotlight as much as possible. It is best for their product...at least until some other team (Hopefully the Titans) generates the success, following, and star power of these team.

Anyway, as I said, I just want an evenly called game.
