    Default Titans draft thread

    Our picks: 25, 57, 89, 125, 162, and 199. (25th in each round)
(Traded 25 and 125 with Ravens for 22 and 215)
    (Traded 57 and 89 for 41)
    (Traded 162 and 215 for 152)

With Morgan and Orakpo on the final year of their contracts, outside linebackers/edge rushers are the #1 need of the team. Hopefully the Titans won't part ways with both after this year, but the odds are pretty good at least one leaves. Both of them were first round picks, so spending a first round pick on this position makes sense.

The big question is whether a first round talent will be available at #25. Hopefully 5 QBs are taken before us, and an offensive tackle or two. That gives us a chance.

The rest of the draft is likely for depth than anything else. Another receiver, corner, tackle, inside linebacker, and safety would be fine.

(to be updated as the draft progressives)

    1. Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama
    2. Harold Landry, EDGE, BC
    5. Dane Cruikshank, CB/S, Arizona
    6. Luke Falk, QB, Washington State

I am expecting a DE and LB (interior or outside) to be selected in the first 2 rounds. I am leaning strongly to a DE selected on the 1st, since this class offers a good number and quality of them.

Titans traded up to #22. Landry, perhaps?

Titans select Rashaan Evans, LB, Alabama.

They traded their 4th round pick to the Ravens and get their 6th round pick. (125 for 215).

Feels so good to be partially right. A LB it was.

Would you trade our 2nd and next years 2nd to move up and take Landry? I think I would.

Evans and Landry in this draft would be a great way to build a defense under our new coach.
Something, something and a little more something.

It looks we traded 2nd rounds picks and gave up our third round pick to get Landry. That seems fine considering we have now filled two huge need spots.

Very happy with Evans and Landry. Also love JRob being aggressive and going after what they need. Refreshing to see.

There were apparently some concerns about an injury with Landry. I just hope it's not another Kevin Dodd situation. But if Dodd is now healthy too - look out.

Great draft (on paper) so far!

If only we got Suh, this would be the best off-season in recent memory. Still plenty of draft picks to make and plenty of FAs to sign in the coming months, but its already been a solid off-season.

I am sure that Landry will wash Suh's name.

Anyone was expecting a QB to be drafted this year? I sure didn't.

I was expecting another LB. Oh well.

after reading up on Luke, sounds like a steal and will compete for BU immediately. value pick.

I am not that surprised. Bortles is ok, but Falk looks like he can be a long term backup, if not a starter someday.

Outside of injury I highly doubt Falk ever starts a game.

Because of the small draft class, the Titans have close to 20 undrafted free agents on the team: https://www.tennessean.com/story/spo...nts/561298002/
