I think he starts a game within the next 3 years at most. Mariota hasn't shown the ability to stay healthy for a full year yet, and Gabbert probably wont be here long.

So you’re saying he’ll start because of an injury.
Something, something and a little more something.

That's the definition of a backup QB. And plenty of backup QBs have become regular starters (usually on other teams) once they have proven their worth.

The only thing that makes sense to me is Falk being considered as a B.U. until the 2019 season. I am clueless about Gabbert's contract. (how many years he was signed to).

2 years at $2 million per year. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tennessee...-gabbert-7725/

I just don’t ever see him evolving into an actual starting QB.

I like the kid. I actually saw quite a few of his games on tv and he’s a competitor.

Works for me. A competent backup QB would be welcome.

I yearn for the days of having Billy Volek as our backup. If the team can have a multiyear backup as someone who can either relieve Mariota or start-in-place of him due to injury, while maintaining the team to still utilize 80% of the playbook would be a very nice thing.

The last few years, when a backup was required, I would usually have to change the TV...maybe Falk can be the solid backup this team has needed.

The NFL Network guys are sure high on him. I think it was Daniel Jeremiah, Bucky Brooks, and Mike Mayock. Seems like they had a 3rd round grade on him. Jeremiah said that had Falk entered the 2017 draft, he would've been selected in the first two rounds.

He started saying, he would not "have to be an insurance salesman" (when drafted as the 4th string QB). Behind starter Drew Bledsoe and backups John Friesz and Michael Bishop; by season's end, he was number two on the depth chart behind Bledsoe.

Then the nightmare begun...I just can't stand the dude.
