Default Titans stats at the halfway point

It's been a while, so here is how the Titans stand halfway through the season.

    Offense
    #30 Total Yards - 288.3 ypg
    #29 (tie) Points - 16.8 ppg
    #16 (tie) Rushing Yards - 110.0 ypg
    #18 (tie) Rushing TDs - 5
    #30 Passing Yards - 178 ypg
    #25 (tie) Sacks allowed - 26
    #30 (tie) Passing TDs - 7
    #11 (tie) INTs thrown - 6
    #21 Red Zone Scoring - 52.38%
    #17 Time of Possession - 30:03
    #10 3rd down conversion rate (43.2%)

    Defense
    #8Total Yards - 333.5 ypg
    #1 Points - 17.6 ppg
    #16 Rushing Yards - 107.3 ypg
    #8 Passing Yards - 226 ypg
    #24 Sacks - 20
    #1 Red Zone Scoring - 31.82%
    #21 3rd down conversion rate (42.00%)

    #12 Field goals made (15)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The two big things that stand out are #1 in scoring defense (were #3 going into last night) and #1 red zone defense (been there all year).

The offense has improved some since I looked at the stats in week 3. We are hitting a little over 50% in the red zone, though all but one of our touchdowns (fake punt) have been red zone touchdowns.

I remember the 2000 Ravens team that had the #1 scoring defense. Their offense was terrible, but that defense was so good, it didn't matter. Obviously our defense isn't near that good, but it definitely is encouraging. Let's hope it can hold up to Brady on Sunday.
Go Titans! Go Braves! Go Preds! Go Dores!
