    Default Luck retiring

Wow! That is shocking news, and a blessing for us Titans fans. That changes the whole division.
Go Titans! Go Braves! Go Preds! Go Dores!

Saw it on the crawl watching Fl & Miami, thought it was April Fools! Holy crap, we'll never beat him now. LOL

Don't be surprised if Mariota does the same in the near future. I wouldn't blame him either, just like I don't blame Locker or Luck.

Colts go 0-16 this year then get the next Peyton. Again.

It is a concern. If the Titans make the playoffs this year (and the odds have definitely increased) and Mariota looks decent enough, he will become one of the highest paid players in the league (that's just how QB contracts work now). If he then gets another serious injury 2 or 3 years from now, what will be his incentive to stay in the NFL? He would be set for life, like Luck is now (Luck has been paid around $97 million in his career), so why risk further damage?

We are seeing more and more great NFL players retire at younger ages in order to avoid long term disability.

I like Mariota and feel people dog him out too much. The guy has been getting killed ( sacked) a lot.

But as a whole when looking at a NFL team, it's risk and reward by going with rookie QB's on rookie contracts and your able to spend at other areas to have a better them.

If Mariota is retained long term with new contract, the team as a whole will have to take a hit, because he'll take a huge chunk of the salary cap.
